The Café

about

Recorded in 1988, "The Café" was one of my first film scores. This was for a short student film directed by a friend who worked with me at Tower Video in Sacramento, CA.

"The Café" was created in my bedroom studio using a Roland Juno-106 synthesizer and a Roland TR-707 drum machine. There were no computers or sequencers involved. Every note you hear was played manually, and recorded onto a Yamaha MT-1X cassette 4-track. It was then mixed down to cassette tape.

The cassette master has been in my collection since then, and was digitally transferred to Pro Tools for final mastering in 2023.
